Our Privacy Commitment

CCMC is committed to maintaining the privacy of visitors to web sites maintained by CCMC. We strive to ensure that any information that is collected by CCMC is kept private and secure. All Information collected by CCMC is used solely to carry out specific business activities and objectives. CCMC will not sell, share or distribute any of your private information with other organizations or individuals.

What information does CCMC collect?

The information collected by CCMC can be classified into three categories: General Contact Information, Transaction Information and Electronic Identification Information.

General Contact Information: While navigating CCMC websites is, for the most part, anonymous, the collection of personal information is at times necessary. Presently, CCMC only collects contact information when a visitor is registering for an event hosted by CCMC. In the future, CCMC may expand the use of its websites to include the sale of other products and/or services, at which point the collection of general contact information may be required for shipping and/or billing.

Transaction Information: CCMC does not process electronic commerce transactions for products and/or services being sold on websites maintained by CCMC. Instead, CCMC maintains a relationship with a third party e-commerce company that collects your personal and credit card data, and completes the transaction through their secure server infrastructure. Following each transaction (or transaction attempt), CCMC is supplied with a report that shows the completion status of the transaction, time and date of the transaction, the purchase amount, the cardholder’s name, type of credit card used, the first and last four digits of the card number used, and a variety of transaction identifier codes. CCMC maintains a record of all transaction reports in the event of refunds, voids, or disputed charges.

Electronic Identification Information: CCMC keeps track of the pages viewed by visitors to its websites in order to determine which sites and pages are the most popular. Additionally, CCMC maintains a log of incoming and outgoing traffic on websites maintained by CCMC, which contains information that may be able to identify your computer or organization. This information is maintained in the event of disputed charges that require further investigation.

How does CCMC use my information?

All information collected by CCMC is used for specific business activities. The primary use of our contact database will be to notify you about upcoming CCMC activities, new features available on our websites, or new services being offered by CCMC that may be of interest to you. We also maintain records of transactions and log computer traffic through our websites in order to effectively deal with any transaction issues that may arise (refunds, voids, and disputed charges).

All data collected is for the sole use of CCMC and it’s staff, except when CCMC is authorized by you or required by law during an investigation.

How does CCMC protect my information?

CCMC takes the same care in protecting the privacy of files containing visitor and customer information, as is used in protecting all its confidential internal files. CCMC maintains up to date technology infrastructure to ensure that your personal information is protected against unauthorized access, disclosure, inappropriate alteration or misuse. All safety and security measures are appropriate to the sensitivity level of your information.

How do I access and update my information file?

When you register for a CCMC event, or purchase another product or service through a website maintained by CCMC, you will be provided with a login name and password, which you are responsible to protect. Using your login information, you are able to view and update the information in the General Contact Information file maintained by CCMC. You are able to make corrections to and update the contact information that CCMC uses to contact you.

In the event you wish to remove your file from our system, please email support@ccmc.nf.ca or call 709.579.4872.

Are there any exceptions to these privacy practices?

As a result, CCMC shares this information freely with any visitor to this website, as is the intended use at the time of submission of information. Individuals and organizations are to be independently aware of any potential implications that might exist as a result of posting contact information on a public website.
